The houndskull helmet is a variation on the late medieval bascinet helmet. The houndskull was favoured amoung knights and warriors until about 1420. The characteristic design of the visor gave this helmet its name and led to its widespread use throughout Central Europe.
Our version is based on a milanese helmet from circa 1390 AD. It is made from riveted armour steel with brass ornamentation.
It features a hinged, removable visor as well as comfortable leather inlay with chin strap.
