This type of arm protectors was used in the Late Middle Ages and got sewn on the clothing (eg. gambeson) or applied by cords.
European flat ring chain mail. This weave consists of flat rings with round rivets. There are alternate rows of solid punched and riveted flat rings. We call this type of chain mail FRM (=Flatring Round rivet-heads Mixed.)
