The falchion is a single-edged sword which was mainly used as a secondary weapon by the foot soldiers in the late Middle Ages.
With this product, the ULFBERTH® forge offers a practical blunt replica which is suitable for combat re-enactment - and this at a great value for money. The hand-forged 55Si7 (EN45) spring steel blade had been oil hardened and tempered to a Rockwell hardness of approx. 48-50 HRC. The full tang is peened to the pommel. The wooden grip is bound in leather and the shapely guard is hand-forged from mild steel. The edges are blunt and the tip is rounded for safety.
Each of our falchions is exclusively crafted by hand and comes with a matching leather scabbard.

Dieses Stück sieht großartig aus und hat bereits mehrere Aufführungen gut überstanden. Da es kürzer ist, kann es problemlos am Gürtel oder Gehänge getragen werden, ohne zu schleifen. Kleine Kritikpunkte: Der Knauf neigt zu Flugrost (also immer etwas Öl auftragen) und die Scheide hat keine Gürtelbefestigung (es gibt jedoch genug Platz für zwei Bohr- oder Stanzlöcher und einen schmalen Lederriemen).

Ein sehr schönes Stück. Es hat bereits einige Shows überstanden und hält gut. Da es eher kurz ist, lässt es sich leicht am Gürtel oder im Gehänge tragen, ohne zu schleifen. Einziges kleines Manko, das jedoch nicht allzu sehr ins Gewicht fällt: Der Knauf ist etwas anfällig für Flugrost (also immer etwas Öl darauf geben) und die Scheide hat keine Befestigungsmöglichkeit für den Gürtel (es gibt jedoch genügend Platz für zwei Bohr- oder Stanzlöcher und einen schmalen Lederriemen).
