This mail coif is well sized and fully covers the neck and shoulders. It has an authentic square facial opening. Maille coifs were used from the Dark Ages up to late medieval times, sometimes together with a helmet. We recommend wearing a padded arming cap underneath.
The BTW chain maille type: This particular mesh is composed of butted rings made of high-quality spring steel. Considering its excellent value at a fair price, it is perfectly suitable for unexperienced re-enactors who set store on good protection and solid quality. The weave is 4 in 1. This type is called BTW (Butted Tensile Wire).
Although the natural finish allows rust to develop, it also gives the weave a genuine appearance.

Ich stelle derzeit meine Kettenrüstung zusammen, und da ist eine Haube natürlich unverzichtbar. Passt hervorragend, auch bei großem Kopf (habe 60 cm Kopfumfang). Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier zu 100%, denn für den Preis ist die Verarbeitung wirklich nicht zu überbieten. Einziger Nachteil war, dass das Teil bei der Lieferung stark eingeölt war. Ich brauchte viel Mühe und Bremsenreiniger, um sie trocken und sauber zu bekommen. Ein leichter Film wäre ausreichend gewesen. Ansonsten aber alles top
