This beautiful temple ring was designed after a historical model, as it was worn by the Slavic people in the early Middle Ages until the 12th century.
However, temple rings were not only worn by the Slavs as a typical part of their garb, but were also common among the Franks and Alemmanic tribes, so that temple rings can often be found in the southern German finds from the early Middle Ages.
The temple ring is named after the fact that it was typically worn in pairs or several along the temples. Therefor it was either woven directly into the hair or into a headband or scarf.
This temple ring is available in bronze or silver plated.
