This handsome Viking Age bag with pentagonal outline is crafted from robust cotton canvas. The edges and the front flap are nicely reinforced with sturdy, stitched-on two-tone leather. A particular highlight are the stitches and brass rivets that adorn the flap and turn this medieval bag into a true eye-catcher. The bag is unlined and features an adjustable buckle closure (brass buckle and leather strap).

The approx. 2 cm wide, size adjustable carrying strap is also a combination of canvas and leather elements securely joined together with strong stitches and rivets. With a length of approx. 1.4 cm, the strap is adequately sized to carry the bag both as a simple shoulder bag and a crossbody bag (slung across the shoulder).

This Viking bag is suitable for both ladies and gents. Shoulder bags were not only carried by women and men alike during the early medieval period, but also throughout the entire Middle Ages.
