Hand-Forged Fire Chain, Trammel Chain

Cooking on an open campfire using tripods often makes it necessary to regulate the cooking temperature by means of hooks and chains. With the help of this cleverly designed, hand-forged trammel chain with hooks, you can for example regulate the distance of a pot to the flame from approx. 25 cm to 1 m (four levels). You can of course also cook simultaneously at different heights by cooking at higher temperature in the bottom pot while at the same time heating food more gently or just keeping it warm in the pots suspended higher up. This chain is therefore an early and simple version of a trammel hook and should not be missing in any camp kitchen.
When you are not cooking, you can also use the chain to hang and store all sorts of camp kitchen utensils.
This multifunctional chain is hand-forged from round steel and equally suitable for modern outdoor cooking and historical re-enactment of many eras.
Details:
- Material: approx. 8 mm round steel, forged
- Overall length: approx. 98 cm
