Feels smoother than a regular plastic comb. The rectangles in the middle don't look as good in the one I got as in the pictures, I think they are cut less cleanly, I'm not sure if they are glued together or if it's just aesthetic lines. But in general it is a great comb, weighs more and feels more elegant than any synthetic material comb you could buy at a store. Great value for the price.
