Cold Steel®'s Hide Out® was designed as a small, inexpensive and astoundingly functional neck knife. The resulting blade is a true featherweight, weighing a meager 1.9 oz (approx. 43 g)!
Its high satin-polished, double-edged Japanese AUS 8A blade is Scandi ground, which makes it very sharp and also very stiff, allowing for a strong and durable tip, despite its sharpness.
Its full tang is encapsulated in a weatherproof Kray-Ex™ handle that has been designed to be very thin and flat. The handle is subtly contoured and deeply checkered to give the hand great purchase and security on such a small, thin knife, while still enabling effortless transition between grips.
A Secure-Ex® sheath and a bead chain lanyard allow you to wear this knife discreetly and comfortably all day long.
AUS 8A Stainless Steel
Cold Steel® has been using the same expertly heat-treated Japanese AUS 8A steel for nearly 3 decades. This steel has tested amazingly well over the years and has proven to be an excellent steel for working knives - tough, corrosion resistant, with good edge holding and easy to re-sharpen.

Sie haben sicherlich einige Änderungen vorgenommen, um das Gewicht niedrig zu halten, aber ich fand den Griff SO dünn, dass es für meine großen Hände schwierig ist, ihn zu greifen. Der Griff ist definitiv lang genug, um den Daumen bequem über das Griffende zu legen, aber man möchte vielleicht den Griff mit ein paar Schichten Griffband umwickeln, um ihn etwas aufzupolstern.
