This set consists of a wooden wax book (four blank panels), a brass pen (stylus) and a leather pouch. You use the flat end of the pen to erase the writings in the wax.
Similar wax books or tablets were already used by the Romans. Since paper was so costly, such books remained in use well into the early modern period.
The pouch is equipped with a leather strap for attachment to your belt.
