The historic Viking sword of the 9th and 10th centuries featured a long, wide blade with a broad central fuller and two keen edges. The preferred stroke was a hard slash or chopping blow, so the point was fairly rounded but was just acute enough to be useful for thrusting. A simple guard with forward curving quillons was often utilized and combined with a utilitarian handle made of leather-covered wood (sometimes of bone or even cast in brass) and a heavy 5-lobed pommel to balance the long blade.
Cold Steel®'s interpretation of this sword features a double-edged blade that is hand-forged out of high carbon steel, hand-polished and sharpened to perfection. The wooden handle is covered in leather and is supported by a simple, elegant guard at one end and a 5 lobed pommel at the other. Both guard and pommel feature traditional knot embellishments.
The Viking Sword is supplied with a leather-wrapped wooden scabbard that is reinforced with a polished steel chape and throat.

Selbst meine Sammlerfreunde sind ein wenig neidisch... Ich denke, ich habe für den Preis etwas Erstaunliches ergattert... und sie haben recht!!
Hochwertiges funktionales Vikingerschwert
Spitzenqualität bei diesem funktionalen und scharfen Vikingerschwert. Als großer Fan von Serien wie Vikings und Game of Thrones freue ich mich, jetzt mein eigenes Vikingerschwert zu besitzen.
Great Cutting Power
This sword is an excellent cutter, with a significant blade presence weighing around 2 pounds and 7 ounces. The blade is very well crafted, arriving extremely sharp and without a secondary bevel. The grip is a bit long for a Viking sword and slightly wide. Overall, for the price, the entire package is very impressive. I own about six Cold Steel swords and have never encountered any issues with them. I highly recommend this Viking sword. Remember to cut only water bottles, mats, and bamboo for safe use.
