Fully battle-ready reconstruction of a Viking Spangenhelm. This kind of helmet was very popular with the early-medieval fighters of the north, the Vikings, The Varangians, the Rus and the Normans.
Manufactured from 2 mm thick steel. The four parts of the helmet are welded together and firmly riveted to the lapping buckles. The approx. 4 mm thick nasal is hand-forged as well as the typical eyebrows. The solid manufacturing and the lapping guarantee high robustness and therefore high protection in combat. A high-class, adjustable and padded liner is riveted into the helmet as well as the two chin-straps from cowhide with brass buckle.

Sehr guter Helm
Der Helm ist schwer, aber dank des Materials sehr robust und gut verarbeitet. Man kann ihn sehr gut mit einer Kettenhaube und einem wattierten Inlay oder einer Polsterhaube anpassen. Für manche Kopfgrößen dürfte er definitiv zu groß ausfallen. Deshalb lieber genau kontrollieren ob der Umfang einigermaßen hinkommt. Fazit, alles in allem einer meiner besten Helme bisher.
