This 10th c. Viking Age female brooch was modeled on an original archaeological find from the Viking settlement of Birka, Sweden, and is available in bronze or silver-plated bronze.
This type of fibula is rather rare among Viking finds. Such brooches or fibulae are believed to have been used by women to fasten small utility utensils of everyday life (keys, scissors, needle cases, etc.) to their garment. But they can also be worn in pairs and will embellish any Viking women's attire.
The back of the brooch is equipped with a sturdy pin.
