A metal winch used as a cocking aid for heavy crossbows. To do so, the winch has to be mounted to the crossbow, the string hooked in and spanned by turning the crank handle with its attached ropes.
This winch is perfectly suited for our 14th century crossbow (product no. 0616510400), but can also be used on other crossbows.
