Schnitzel Kvin, Outdoor Knife, brown, orange
Kvin is the name of the new outdoor knife from Schnitzel Germany and is somewhat more classic than its predecessors. The Kvin combines modern and classic elements from the world of knives: a modern and dynamic drop point blade with a subtle swedge meets a wonderfully contoured and tapered handle made from our popular green-brown Micarta, which has been polished for an elegant look and fits snugly in the hand. Colored G-10 liners between the handle scales in black or orange emphasize the overall look. In keeping with this look, pins instead of screws were chosen for the handle to attach the handle in order to present a sleek design.
The 3.5 mm slim and approx. 11.7 cm long §42a-compliant blade made from tried-and-tested Sandvik 14c28n stainless steel is designed for good cutting performance and has therefore been given a high flat grind. We would therefore like to emphasize that the blade geometry of the Kvin is not intended to be a survival tool that can be thoughtlessly hammered into wood, but a tool for everyday tasks such as carving, cutting or preparing food on outdoor adventures. The tasks also include, for example, the expert production of kindling.
The Kvin is equipped with a fire steel, as the back of the blade has been additionally sharpened, as with the Special Tri, to enable confident scribing. Our robust and very forgiving Kydex sheath with the popular thumb ramp rounds off the overall package. The accompanying dangler mount for the knife has been improved with additional washers under the screw and sheath heads and will also be used on our Tri model in the future.
In order to optimize the grip of the thumb when working, a functional jimping has been added to the back of the blade, which is effective but not too aggressive and characterizes the style of our knives. Another common feature of the Kvin is the hidden lanyard hole integrated into the pommel, to which a small leather lanyard is attached.
The Kvin is offered in two versions, which differ only in the different colors of the liners.

Herr
