The Praetorian Guard (Praetoriani) was a force of bodyguards by Roman Emperors. The title was already used during the Roman Republic for the guards of Roman generals.
Unfortunately, there are no original helmet findings. This version is modeled on one of many traditional drawings of Roman stone reliefs.
This helmet made of brass and is truly a centre-piece because of its rich ornamentation. It has got two cheek guards from brass, a red plume made of horsehair and an adjustable leather liner

- Size: up to approx. 64 cm head circumference
- Long distance (back to front): approx. 23.5 cm
- Short distance (ear to ear): approx. 19 cm
- Weight: approx. 2.65 kg
