The robust spaulders consist of four parts of chased sheet steel, as well as leather straps and buckles. They are very flexible and adjustable by means of leather straps. We added an additional leather strap for fixing the spaulders to other plate armour parts, e.g. a bevor or breast plate.
The spaulders can not only be fixed on plate armour but also on a chain mail shirt or a gambeson.
Of course it’s a pair.
