Knight's Tent Herold, 5 x 5 m

This unostentatious medieval tent is a low-priced, yet spacious and functional tent suitable for military camps, medieval markets or LARP events. It provides ample space for up to 5 occupants with their respective belongings and gear, and with a generous inner height of approx. 1.90 m at the sides and approx. 3 m at the centre, offers enough headroom even for rangy warriors. The knight's tent is adorned with a pelmet running all the way around. The bottom edge closes with a sod cloth that keeps wind, dirt and dust out. The two separate sidewalls of the medieval tent meet on the front and back to form the two respective entrances. The tent can also be used as a canopy by simply leaving the sidewalls out. We designed the tent without an entrance awning in order to keep it compact-sized.

The knight's tent Herold is supplied as a complete set, i.e. with poles and accessories.

Our tents and tarpaulins have already been waterproofed. In order to maintain / restore the water repellency of your tent or tarp and enjoy its use for a long time, we recommend regular treatment with a waterproofing spray, for example PLUVONIN.

All measurements are approximate and may differ from the actual product supplied. The tents are crafted by hand, which lends them an authentic appearance on the one hand, but may also result in one or two small defects on the other hand. Cotton is a natural material that reacts differently depending on the various outside conditions and can considerably shrink or expand. As a result, the iron poles included in delivery may not fit straightaway into the designated holes. It might in certain cases be necessary to somewhat shorten the poles to size. Please do not try to stretch the tent skin by force, as it increases the risk of the canvas tearing or the stitches snapping.

Important information on assembly, handling and maintenance of our historical tents:

You can prolong the life of your Viking tent, Roman tent, Saxon tent, Knights tent, medieval tent, trade tent or medieval market stall and enjoy its use for a further long time by observing the following precautions:

Do not overstretch the ropes, for natural materials such as wood or cotton alter under the influence of air humidity and need space to contract and expand. You may thus avoid e.g. that the roof holes for the poles get distended and ultimately facilitate water ingress. We recommend slightly slackening the ropes in the evening, for air humidity considerably rises at night and may increase the risk of excessive stress exerted on your tent. The ropes should also be somewhat slackened in rain or high atmospheric humidity. If the tent has been exposed to humidity, we strongly advise you to dry it after use, as it is otherwise likely to mould. Do not, on any account, use detergents or any other cleaning products to clean your tent. The best way to remove dried out dirt is to use a brush. As for the storage of your tent over an extended period of time, please separate all accessories (pegs, ropes, etc.) from the tent itself and preferably pack everything separately. Make sure that all items are dry and stored in a dry place.

Do you have any further questions concerning the setting up or proper use of your tent? Please don't hesitate to write or call, we'll be pleased to assist!
