Stealthy, vicious and elegant. A straight bladed double edged sword perfect for thrusting and cutting, made for both, one-handed, as well as two-handed use, the Kage No Senshi Tsurugi Ken was created as continuation of the lore of the modern shinobi. The fourth addition to the Kage No Senshi family demands respect with its imposing Unokubi Zukuri blade, which was purposefully chosen in order to add weight to the blade for ultimate balance and striking power. To achieve maximum grip, the sword was given a bit heftier handle comparing to its three predecessors', the Kage No Senshi Chokuto, the Kage No Senshi Tsurugi Tanto and the Kage No Senshi Tsurugi Wakizashi. The tsuka, however, is a bit shorter than Kage No Senshi Chokuto's, making the Tsurugi Ken a very compact straight sword to use.
Tsurugi is one of the first swords that led the way for Japanese weaponry. Some of the tsurugis that have been discovered from Japanese grounds are dated all the way back to 700 BC. They are mostly of Chinese descent as straight bladed swords weren't so prominent in feudal Japan. Compared to the original Tsurugi, Battle-Blades has taken the artistic liberties to create something never seen before, while keeping the main components true to the original.
Similar to the Kage No Senshi Tsurugi Wakizashi, this sword has a compeletely unique diamond shape iron tsuba, as we were aiming to keep the essence of the familiar square tsuba of shinobi swords, with an added twist. The nagasa's geometry is carefully designed in order to make it hefty enough for heavy stabs and cutting, while also maintaining the sword's exceptionally swift handling, as it is heavily tapered towards the tip. For this reason the sword is super swift and effortless to wield. The genuine Notare style hamon gives the sword a serene feel. This T10 steel double edged weapon is fully hand forged and polished, dressed accordingly to Kage No Senshi Shinobi outfit with night blue rayskin and tsuka-ito wrapping. Protecting the blade is a deep black fully custom made saya with unique koiguchi shape for effortless sheathing.
As always, this weapon is guaranteed BattleBlades quality and comes with an embroidered BattleBlades silk sword bag as well as a serial numbered certificate.
