Shiro means "white" and stands among others for purity and holiness, yet also for grief and death in the Japanese culture. The Samurai would wear white clothing under their armours to symbolize their unbending determination to fight to the last.
- Blade in Shinogi-Zukuri-style with fuller (Bo-Hi), hand-forged out of 1045 high carbon steel.
- Sharpened blade with Hamon line, for a particularly genuine aspect.
- White cotton hilt-wrapping in traditional Hineri-Maki-style.
- Wooden sheath with white high-gloss lacquer finish.
- Long handle-end fastened to the hilt with 2 bamboo pegs (Mekugi). The sword can thus be fully dismantled.
- Made of authentic high-quality materials only, no plastic used.
- Blade collar (Habaki) and washers (Seppa) made of brass.
- The traditional hilt-wrapping is completed by a genuine ray skin lining.
- All ornaments (Tsuba, Fuchi, Menuki, Kashira) made of metal.

Die Lieferung war schnell und reibungslos. Das Schwert entspricht den Erwartungen, wenn man mit realistischen Erwartungen an den Kauf herangeht. Die Verarbeitung und das Material sind für diese Preisklasse durchaus angemessen. Die Klinge ist scharf, aber nicht außergewöhnlich scharf. Das Design ist Geschmackssache, ich persönlich mag weiße Griffe und Scheiden sehr. Dieses Schwert eignet sich gut als Dekorationsstück oder für gelegentliche Schneidetests, jedoch nicht für den täglichen Gebrauch, da es relativ schnell abnutzt. Allerdings ist es auch nicht dafür vorgesehen. Fazit: Für den Preis ein gutes Einsteigerschwert.

Für den Preis ist das Schwert vollkommen in Ordnung! Keine Mängel erkennbar. Die Schneide ist scharf, aber das ist für mich nicht unbedingt notwendig. Das weiße Katana sieht im Regal, das ebenfalls in Hochglanzweiß ist, super aus!
