Legionary Scutum from Imperial Rome made of wood with boss and plain "paint-your-own" linen cover.
The back of the shield is reinforced with narrow wooden slats. The handle is lodged behind the boss.
For shipping purposes, the boss must be assembled after transport. Please attach the brass boss with screws and caps included in delivery. You may have to bend the boss to attach it securely to the shield.
