The Hanwei short axes replicate Viking weapons. They feature forged heads and hardened edges and are made to withstand throwing. They are well balanced, fully functional and competition-approved.
This short bearded axe provides a concentration of power behind a relatively short cutting edge, ideal for punching through any armour of the period in close combat.

Nach Anpassungen funktional
Die Axt war gut verpackt und gesichert. Ich musste ein paar Anpassungen vornehmen: 1. Von Hand nachschärfen 2. Den sehr glatten Stiel mit Sandpapier anrauen für bessere Handhabung, da ich keine Lederwicklung mag (in meinem Fall zwei Handbreit von 5 cm vor dem Stielende entfernt). Danach war die Axt sicher und einfach zu führen.
Nützliche Axt mit etwas Nacharbeit
Die Axt kam gut verpackt und gesichert bei mir an. Es war etwas Nacharbeit notwendig: 1. Die Axt von Hand nachschärfen. 2. Den glatten Stiel mit Sandpapier anzurauen für eine bessere Handhabung, da ich keine Lederwicklung mag (in meinem Fall von 5 cm vor dem Stielende bis zwei Handbreit aufwärts). Danach war die Axt sicher und leicht zu führen für den Einsatz.
