Gothic Leg Armour, 15th Century, 1.6 mm Steel, Pair
Leg armour (cuisses) in the high Gothic style, based on an example from Germany dated to the late 15th century AD.Armour and armour parts of the 15th century were typically highly decorative. Due to the increasing effectiveness of offensive weapons, they usually covered the whole body.
These leg protections are made of 1.6 mm thick steel. They are fitted with adjustable leather straps on the back and beautifully detailed buckles in the high Gothic style. The front of the legs is adorned with forged fleurs-de-lys and streamlined ridges across the thighs and below the poleyns (knee caps).

The steel used here is not rust-proof and might show slight surface tarnishing in places. We recommend you to maintain plate armour on a regular basis, for example using Ballistol Universal Oil, which is ideally suited for steel care.

Die beiden Beintaschen sind wirklich gut verarbeitet, sehr beweglich dank mehrteiliger Kniegeschübe, überraschend bewuem zu tragen (selbst ohne Beinpolsterung) und vor allem echte Hingucker! Sie wurden leicht geöt geliefert, zwecks Rostschutz. Einziges Manko - die Dornen der Schnallen sind ziemlich dünn umd machen daher einen geringfügig instabilen Eindruck. Ansosnten - absolute Kaufempfehlung für alle, die eine gute und optisch ansprechende Plattenrüstung haben wollen.
