This knife was designed by master knife maker Gil Hibben, an avid hunter and fisherman. His firsthand experience as an Alaskan hunting guide contributed to the design of this custom knife. It has a full-tang, 6 1/2" razor-sharp 420HC stainless steel blade, complemented by a stainless steel guard and pommel. The handsome CNC machined, layered Micarta handle scales have a knothole pattern and are secured to the tang by heavy-duty screws. The handle features ridges just below the handguard to improve control when using the knife. The 11" overall length, fixed blade knife slides securely into a premium black leather belt sheath with a snap closure. When it comes to knives, Gil Hibben always knows exactly what you need!

Schönes Messer, das sehr gut in der Hand liegt. Der Schwerpunkt liegt kurz hinter dem Handschutz, so dass das Messer regelrecht in die Hand fällt. Zusätzlich zum Handschutz sind noch Riffelungen im Griff, die Daumen und Zeigefinger Halt geben. Der Griff aus Micarta sieht nicht nur gut aus, sondern fasst sich auch gut an. Er ist ganz leicht aufgeraut, so dass auch mit leicht schwitzigen Händen ein sicherer Griff gegeben ist. Die Klinge weist einen normalen Keilschliff auf, wirkt sehr stabil. Schärfe ist ok, zur Langlebigkeit kann ich (noch) nicht sagen. Die Lederscheide wirkt stabil und gut verarbeitet. Fazit: Gil Hibben entwirft wirklich schöne Messer zu einem annehmbaren Preis.
