The Galaxy Katana from Hanwei is an eye-catcher that combines a simple design with remarkable details.
The blade of the Galaxy Katana is forged from Wootz steel (the source material for the famous Damascus steel), which makes for unique patterns on the blade of this exceptional Katana edition.
The tsuka is black ray skin wrapped with a black tsuka ito. The menuki are representations of the Earth and Saturn with their moons.
Seppa, fuchi and kashira are made of steel and adorned with complex wave patterns. The sparkling saya is lacquered metallic and wrapped with a blue sageo. Black koiguchi and kojiri pleasantly complete the overall picture.
Included in delivery:
The traditional sword care set contains blade oil, rice paper (nuguigami), an oiling cloth, a powder ball for blade polishing (uchiko), a brass awl and hammer (mekuginuki) and saya shimming veneer. The kit is delivered in a fitted wooden box.
