Resolza is an ancient name, reminiscent of the Italian word for razor. The centuries old Sardinian “resolza” one of the best-known traditional knives in our country – to this day it’s been the constant companion to island farmers and shepherds in their everyday work. It followed them even when they were called to war: chronicles of the Sassari Brigade during World War I mention the knife as part of the troopers’ equipment. Our attempt to revisit this traditional design according to our own standards is meant as a tribute, not to disregard Sardinian craftsmen still practicing the old ways of knife-making and keeping ancestral traditions alive. This Resolza retains original measurements and proportions, with a 4.8” blade, but is produced with the usual Extrema Ratio high-end materials and technologies. The handle was redesigned, while the blade more faithfully approaches a traditional shape. As an improvement on tradition, we added a blade-locking mechanism.

Begeisterung. Ein sorgfältig gefertigtes Messer mit einer klassischen Form, die sich über Jahrhunderte bewährt hat. Der Griff misst 14,5 cm in der Länge, 1,5 cm in der Breite und 2,5 cm in der Höhe. Die Klingenstärke beträgt etwa 3 mm und das Messer wiegt 95 Gramm. Es liegt hervorragend in der Hand und hat eine angenehme Klingenlänge, weder zu lang noch zu kurz. Der Griff besteht aus Aluminium, ist rutschfest und leicht rau-matt. Ein Qualitätszertifikat liegt bei und es gibt eine Herstellergarantie von 6 Jahren. Beim Zusammenklappen wird die Klinge in einem Winkel von etwa 80 Grad arretiert, um Verletzungen zu vermeiden. Dieses Messer wurde für den täglichen Gebrauch gekauft, nicht zum Sammeln. Ich finde es besser, ein hochwertiges Messer zu haben und jedes Mal Freude daran zu haben, als viele billige Messer zu besitzen. Meine Frau gefällt das Messer auch, sie möchte eines mit einer kürzeren Klinge zum Pilzesammeln. Ein Messer, das jeden Cent wert ist. Guter Service und günstiger Preis. Ich kann den Kauf bei diesem Verkäufer nur empfehlen.
