Drinking horn made of genuine cow horn, various sizes
Drinking horns or methorns have been popular accessories for many years, not only do they look great on Viking finery, they were also very practical. Whether it's the Viking Age or a medieval market, our horns fit the bill! They are made from the horns of cattle and are elaborately worked, ground and polished. But even with the best production, every now and then something goes wrong. Sometimes the horn splinters, some parts may be too thin or the size may vary slightly. In a few of them I have found small holes. These articles are therefore no longer suitable for use with food!
There are nine different sizes with a filling volume of approx. 1.25 l, approx. 1.5 l, approx. 1.75 l, approx. 2.0 l, approx. 2.25 l, approx. 2.5 l, approx. 2.75 l, approx. 3.0 l, approx. 3.5 l respectively.
Please note:
Above pictures are for reference only! As horn is an organic product, natural variations in colour, shape, size and volume are to be expected. The horn’s actual capacity may slightly differ from the nominal volume, while the colour may range from black to any shade or combination of brown, yellow or ivory. Each of these horns is unique and yours will be chosen randomly from our stock.
