The innovative, multi-patented DuoSharp Bench Stone is a precision flat, two diamond surfaced sharpener guaranteed to provide consistent, even sharpening every time. Now offered with a Hardcoat surface for extra durability when used with hard steels and ceramic blades. Designed to withstand the rigors of sharpening ceramic knives, this 8" DuoSharp Bench Stone, is an excellent counter and bench sharpener, with a larger, wider diamond surface for sharpening a variety of edges as well. This model also comes with a Bench Stone Base Accessory, and is equipped with two separate grits. On one side, there is the Hardcoat extra-fine diamond (9 micron /1200 mesh) to polish and refine a razor edge after sharpening with a coarser diamond. On the opposite side, there is the Hardcoat fine diamond (25 micron / 600 mesh) for initially honing the razor sharp edge. Thanks to the micronized monocrystalline diamond surface on each side as well, you can sharpen edges much faster and easier than conventional stones can. No messy oils are needed either, allowing you to sharpen dry or with water.
