The beautiful hardwood box containing the three 6" Diamond Whetstone™ sharpeners makes for a perfect gift without sacrificing functionality. One of DMT's most popular sharpening sets, it is a perfect fit in the home or in the shop, offering three different sharpening surfaces to satisfy a variety of edge care needs. First among the grits included in the kit is an extra-fine diamond (9 micron / 1200 mesh) for polishing and refining a razor edge after sharpening with a coarser diamond, followed by a fine diamond (25 micron / 600 mesh) for initially honing a razor sharp edge. Third and finally is the coarse diamond (45 micron / 325 mesh) for quickly restoring a neglected edge. Each stone is also conveniently sized at 6" x 2" x 3/4", with the hardwood box coming in at 7.75" x 7.25" x 1.25". The box also includes rubber feet for secure placement on countertops, workbenches, and many other flat surfaces. Thanks to the micronized monocrystalline diamond surface of each Diamond Whetstone™ as well, you can sharpen edges faster and easier than conventional stones can. No messy oils are needed either, allowing you to sharpen dry or with water.
