With its carbon steel blade and intricately crafted handle made from wood, bone and brass, this hand-crafted Viking Age knife combines practicality with a striking historically inspired design. Whether displayed as a decorative collector’s piece or used as a stylish everyday utility knife, it blends historical design with everyday functionality.
The wooden handle is framed at both ends by bone fittings engraved with intricate Valknut motifs. The grip terminates towards the blade with a brass collar, and the brass butt cap is fitted with a practical eyelet. This can be used either to attach a lanyard or to draw the knife smoothly from its sheath.
Crafted from high-quality vegetable-tanned leather, the sheath is fitted with richly decorated brass mounts and features a suspension ring for belt carry. This allows the compact Viking utility knife to be carried securely and comfortably on a belt.
Important notice:
- Although fully functional, the knife has a just slightly sharpened edge which may have to be re-ground to improve sharpness if needed.
- As the knife is fully hand-crafted, the ornaments may slightly vary from piece to piece. Please also keep in mind that bone is a natural product and variations in colour and grain are quite common. Each Viking knife features therefore its own very unique handle and above pictures are for reference only.

The steel used here is not rust-proof and might show slight surface tarnishing in places. We recommend you to maintain the blade on a regular basis, for example using Ballistol Universal Oil, which is ideally suited for steel care.
