"According to ancient legends, this tunic once rested on the shoulders of a brave warrior who emerged victorious from countless battles. To this day, it bears the marks of a life lived on the edge of death. Hastily mended seams are a testament to his battles and the moments he narrowly escaped with his life, while the intricately embroidered trims reflect a culture that preserved its stories not only through words, but also in the very fabric of its garments."
Every aspect of the tunic has been carefully designed and crafted with meticulous attention to detail. It impresses not only with its unique appearance, but also with its exceptional comfort and flattering fit. Its versatility makes it the perfect addition to any Viking or medieval costume.
This medieval shirt Is made from durable cotton (canvas) and been treated with a special washing process to give it its distinctive, worn-in look. Subtle repair stitches along the collar and hem enhance its rugged design, giving the impression that the tunic has already lived through many tales of its own.
The round neckline features a front slit that can be worn open or closed with a fibula or brooch, depending on your preference. Contrasting trims at the neckline and hems add a visual interest. A special detail is the artistic embroidery on the sleeves and hem, featuring a stylized knot pattern. This motif, also known as a Celtic knot, was inspired by the artwork on the Lärbro picture stone from Gotland.
Thanks to its loose fit and slightly flared cut, the tunic offers excellent freedom of movement, making it an ideal choice for re-enactment, LARP events, and medieval markets. Its high-quality workmanship and elaborate detailing clearly mark it as an outer garment.
Whether you’re portraying a Celtic warrior, a fearless Viking, or a Norse seafarer, this tunic will add a unique touch to your look and transport you straight into a long-lost age.
