Civil War Springfield Musket Sling with Watervliet Arsenal Markings, Leather
The design of this approx. 180 cm long, 3 cm wide sling is based on an original piece found on a 3-band Springfield rifled musket used during the U.S. Civil War (1861-1865). Handcrafted from sturdy genuine leather, it features several pre-punched holes for proper adjustment and a single brass hook secured by two copper rivets and sturdy stitching. Just like the original, it is marked Watervliet Arsenal.
This Civil War era rifle sling is also suitable for the 1853 Enfield and many other rifles of the 1870's and early 1880's.
Whether you're the proud owner of an original American Civil War musket or a reproduction thereof, this high-quality leather sling is a beautiful, historically accurate accessory for any collector or re-enactor of this era.
