This chain maille is made of round, butted rings. Their blackened surface provides some protection from corrosion.
We call this type of chain maille Butted Mild Steel Blackened.
A haubergeon is a mid-sleeve chain maille shirt that reaches to the thighs.

Ich bin gerade neu in diesem Thema, daher war ich etwas skeptisch, wie sich so ein Kettenhemd anfühlt und wie es verarbeitet ist. Vor allem mit meinen 1,78 und 95 kg. Ich muss aber sagen, es macht schlank :-). Ich habe keinen Euro bereut, alles war ordentlich verpackt. Ein kleines Detail gab es: Es fehlt ein Ring auf Höhe des Herzens, :-) das kann man aber leicht selber fixen. Ich habe es in L bestellt. Für die oben beschriebenen Körpermaße passt es perfekt.
