1837 Allen & Thurber Pepperbox 6 Shots Revolver, Replica
Decoration pistol with articulated mechanism
– NOT FUNCTIONAL –
Faithful replica of a percussion handgun known as a 6-shots pepper-box revolver, or simply pepperbox, from 1837 (Allen & Thurber, Worcester, Massachusetts). This type of multiple-barrel firearm was particularly popular in North America from the 1830s to the Civil War and was used by both civilians and military officers during the settling of the frontier. Although mostly associated with the Wild West, it also quickly spread from the United States to the UK and even continental Europe.
Our reproduction of this iconic Western weapon has handle scales made of resin (imitation wood) and metal parts with antiqued gunmetal finish. Like the original on which it is based, it features a revolving barrel with 6 magazines and a frame adorned with delicate tendril-like engravings.
Our firearm replicas are solely intended for re-enactment and decorative purposes. Although the mechanism is fully articulated, this reproduction is not capable of firing.
This Western revolver is not only a true gem for weapon collectors, history enthusiasts or fans of Western cinema, but also an indispensable accessory or prop for cowboys, bounty hunters and American Frontier re-enactors.
Details:
- Material: resin (faux wood), metal
- Overall length: approx. 23 cm
- Weight: approx. 560 g
Specs may slightly vary from piece to piece.
