The Blur has been a Kershaw favorite for many years. It is the ideal knife for tough use, whether on the job or around the garage.

The recurve blade is built for multitasking with excellent slicing and piercing capabilities, and the aircraft aluminum handle scales are tough and lightweight. This Blur also has a carbide tip built into those durable handles. And that's important, because a plain steel tip won't have the same effect in an emergency. If you need to break out a windshield in order to pull a victim to freedom, it's got to be carbide. In the Blur Glassbreaker, it is.

The Blur's blade makes it an even more effective rescue tool. Built of high-performance Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, the partially serrated blade cuts through seatbelt webbing (or other tough materials) with ease, which can make all the difference at a crucial moment. The Blur Glassbreaker is designed to give you a secure grip, too, even in non-optimal environmental conditions. The 6061-T6 anodized aluminum scales feature Trac-Tec grip-tape inserts that provide extra traction to help keep the knife where it belongs - in your hand.

For easy one-handed opening, the Blur Glassbreaker is equipped with the SpeedSafe® assisted opening system, which is also important, because you're not always going to have both hands free in an emergency. A short push on the thumb stud overcomes the resistance built into the torsion bar in the SpeedSafe mechanism. The SpeedSafe takes over and the blade moves out of the handle quickly and easily. The pocket clip is reversible for your choice of tip-up or tip-down carry, and the handle is drilled to accept a lanyard.
