Stake Out Pole for Medieval Encampment, Hand-Forged Steel, Twisted, 170 cm
This robust square rod made of steel was forged by hand and is twisted over approx. 60 cm. The upper end is approx. 8 cm long, 3 cm wide and features a generously sized hole (inner diameter approx. 2.7 cm). The bottom end tapers to a point so as to be easily driven into the ground. The surface was left in its natural state to preserve the rod's rustic, authentic character.
This steel rod is not only very useful, but will also add a nice touch to your camp, stall or workshop on the medieval market. You can use several poles to mark out the ground for your encampment and connect them with ropes to build an enclosure or delimit a specific area. Adding lamps or lanterns to the ropes will also provide better lighting for your camp and create a lovely evening and night atmosphere.
What's more, with a bit of craftsmanship, this versatile rod can be converted into a lantern or torch holder, or used horizontally - for example as a connecting bar between two tripods - to hang cooking and camp utensils.
This fine, sturdy blacksmithing piece is perfectly suited for camp life at medieval markets and re-enactment, living history or LARP events. Of course, this iron rod looks equally good in modern-day settings: With a little inventiveness, you can use one or more of these poles to give your own garden or balcony a unique flair.
Details:
- Material: hand-forged square steel (not stainless)
- Overall length: approx. 170 cm
- Thickness: approx. 1 cm
- Weight: approx. 1.8 kg
Please note:
Above specs may slightly vary from piece to piece. As this is a hand-forged product, each piece is unique and slight variations in shape and/or surface finish are quite normal. Above pictures are thus for reference only.
The steel used here is not rust-proof and might show slight surface tarnishing in places. We recommend you to maintain the rod on a regular basis, for example by using Ballistol Universal Oil, which is ideally suited for steel care.
