Damascus steel is a type of steel alloy from one or more types of steel and/or iron that is both hard and flexible, a combination that made it ideal for the building of swords and knives. The general term "Damascus" refers to metal with a visible grain pattern, with grinding and polishing specifically to expose the layers.
This knife is not sharpened.
